The partners behind Hyde House, Richard Searle and Joanna Hauptman, desicded to create and launch this concept when they noticed a great gap in the market for affordable but sophisticated British made bespoke furniture.
Design is Everything
The Searle family have been manufacturing British furniture for over 60 years, employing 70 people and supplying retailers all over the UK. Three generations of The Searle family still work in the family business today. Frank, Richard and Grandson, Alex. Bringing together years of experience, as well as formal traning at the London College of Furniture, the Searle family are a British institution.
