Within our UK workshops, each order is handcrafted by our skilled artisans, and meticulously quality controlled by our in-house production manager. Hyde House also annually designs an exciting capsule collection of bespoke furniture, providing an opportunity to showcase our signature aesthetic and flawless quality. Hyde House offer a quick quotation service, followed by a comprehensive range of manufacturing services encompassing bespoke furniture, custom upholstery, case goods and joinery. We also specialize in reupholstering and reconditioning existing furniture pieces or antiques.
Our advisory design service tailors to your client’s brief – custom making your own furniture design concept. Our process begins with a bespoke quotation, followed by a shop drawing and sample for approval, within an appointed lead-time.
Our expertise includes paneling to beds, table to chairs, sofas to corner suites, cabinetry to stools, ottomans to coffee tables, fitted joinery to banquettes, rugs, and much much more. Standard lead-time is 12 -14 weeks (from technical drawing approval). We ensure precise finishes through sample matching and require client approval prior to initiating production. We boast an in house white glove delivery and installation service to boot.

As the driving influence behind Hyde House, she effortlessly fuses her fervor for bespoke furniture design with an unwavering dedication to crafting sophisticated interiors that resonate.
With roots in publishing and fashion, Joanna’s journey wove a tapestry of influences, forming her unique design sensibility. Armed with a Graphic Design degree and a successful publishing career at the forefront of luxury fashion with notable names like Harvey Nichols, Aspreys, and Harpers Bazaar, she acquired a deep understanding of luxury and an innate grasp of style. Her client roster included esteemed brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Harrods, Estee Lauder, and Tiffanys, refining her design acumen amidst luxury’s competitive landscape. This invaluable experience paved her way into interior design, where she has redefined the essence of luxury living.
As the founder and creative visionary of Hyde House, Joanna designs timeless bespoke furniture that transcends function. Her visionary leadership has solidified Hyde House as a beacon of British craftsmanship. Under her guidance, Hyde House has become synonymous with British manufacturing excellence, catering to a discerning trade client base including interior designers, architects, and developers with unwavering distinction.
Managing Director
Following generations of family before him, Richard enrolled at the London College of Furniture. He acquired extensive knowledge across various facets of the furniture industry. Encompassing areas such as antique restoration, woodworking, modern and traditional upholstery, cabinet making, so preparing him for a future role as a master furniture craftsman.
Upon completing his college education, he embarked on an apprenticeship journey with his father’s substantial upholstery enterprise located in Hounslow. The firm was dedicated to crafting sofas and chairs for commercial distribution.
Having launched a business of his own, initially focused on re-upholstery services, the business gradually expanded as clients began requesting bespoke sofas on a smaller scale. This surge in demand prompted him to seek out more spacious facilities. Ultimately, he secured a showroom and workshop in Watford, where he continued the re-upholstery work.

PRODUCTION PROJECT MANAGER & CREATIVE DESIGNER
After attaining a degree in Interior Design from the University of the Arts, Sonya embarked on her professional journey at a prestigious firm specializing in architecture and interior design. This firm was situated at the renowned hub for interior design, The Design Centre in Chelsea Harbour. Sonya’s role as a skilled and valued member of the design team encompassed various responsibilities, including aiding in upscale residential and commercial projects. Additionally, she contributed her creative prowess to conceive inventive graphic designs for marketing materials. Accumulating over a decade of experience, she also excelled in project administration and nurturing client relationships.
In 2017, Hyde House welcomed Sonya into their ranks. She assumes a pivotal role in overseeing the entire production process, steering projects from inception to their final realization. With her solid design background, Sonya is adept at providing clientele with guidance on furniture designs, finishes, and comprehensive design schemes. Her innate creative flair and meticulous attention to detail shine through in the development of captivating graphics for digital marketing. Furthermore, she has proven instrumental in crafting engaging exhibition stands and innovative furniture designs.
Sonya’s passion lies in the realm of creative disciplines, and she is particularly enamored with pioneering design elements encompassing furniture design, graphic artistry, architecture, and art installations. She draws inspiration from diverse global cultures and possesses a penchant for all things eccentric and distinctively original.
